Hi, my name is Aqil also known as “Flash”. I love anything and everything RC-related. I started out with Wings and large 3D planes few years back. It was until I heard about quadcopters that I ended up selling all my old planes to fund my first quad – the DJI Flame.
For the curious ones, I was born in Colombia and raised in Venezuela but the country I call home after 21 years of stay, is the sunny island of Singapore. I’m a Spanish teacher by profession at an international school.
My childhood interests in RC toys had laid dormant for almost 35 years till such a time in my life that big kid in me woke again… and I had the income to afford ALL my RC toys!
I am a father of three kids and owned a company specializing in fluid conveying systems. The company was sold to a private equity and I decided to retire in 2011. With time on my hand, I decided to take up photography as a hobby.
I’m an Architect by profession, a jet pilot by dream. Now that I can’t be a real jet pilot, getting into FPV was the next best thing. Freestyle flying is my favourite, but I can pull off the occasional races too!
